about me

Understanding how we live.
Understanding how we live together.

I’m Katherine Dennis Gonzalez, a psychologist and educator based in Berlin.

My work sits at the intersection of individual psychology, relationships, and social systems. I’m interested in how stress travels through people and through cultures. How responsibility shapes behavior. How leadership affects the body. How identity forms within the environments we grow up and work in.

Mental health is never only personal. It is shaped by our relationships, our workplaces, and the wider systems we are part of.

In my clinical work, I support individuals navigating complexity. High levels of responsibility. Long term stress. Identity transitions. Leadership roles. Creative pressure. Periods of growth that feel both meaningful and overwhelming.

In my public work, I teach psychological literacy. I help teams and institutions understand how stress physiology, communication patterns, power structures, and cultural norms interact and influence daily life at work. The nervous system is one important layer of that picture, but it always exists within a relational and social context.

The Way I Work

We are shaped by the systems we live in, and we shape them in return. Our families, workplaces, and cultures influence how we think, feel, and relate.

Because of this, I do not see mental health as only an individual issue. It unfolds between people and within structures.

Psychological understanding should restore dignity. It should help people make sense of their reactions and the environments they are responding to, with more clarity and agency.

Growth and performance do not happen by accident. They require structure, reflection, and support. I believe the same is true for individuals and the systems they lead.

  • I work with individuals who carry responsibility. Often leaders, creatives, founders, and professionals operating under sustained pressure.

Many are capable and high functioning. They are not only looking for symptom relief. They want to understand their patterns, their stress responses, and the environments shaping them.

I also work with teams and institutions who want to strengthen psychological literacy, communication, and sustainable performance.

  • My work integrates individual psychology, relational dynamics, and systemic context.

I draw from clinical psychology, neuropsychology, and trauma informed practice, alongside a systemic understanding of culture, power, and organizational structure. The nervous system is one layer of understanding, but it is always embedded in relationships and social conditions.

The goal is not simply to cope better. It is to understand more clearly, respond with intention, and connect personal insight with collective responsibility.

  • I am a trained psychologist and neuropsychologist with clinical experience in both individual and group settings.

My background includes work in mental health, neuroscience, and education. I have worked with individuals, leaders, and institutions across Europe, combining clinical depth with practical application.

My work is evidence informed, ethically grounded, and shaped by ongoing professional development.
